Have you ever seen someone travelling in mid-air by standing on a Drone? You’ve got to watch it to believe it! How did he pull it off?

This is a shared video with the direct source linked from YouTube. YouTube views at time of publishing article: 8,140,673. Video was originally published on May 22, 2015 by Guinness World Records.

The man in the video and on the aircraft is Catalin Alexandru Duru. He built the “flying hoverboard” with a propeller-based concept similar to those used by drones. In this video, he was attempting to set a new Guinness Word Record for “The Farthest Journey By Hoverboard”. He accomplished it at 275.9 m (905 ft 2 in)”.

Traditionally, Drones have been used commonly by remote control hobbyists for leisure. Drones are even used as surveillance accessories by the military now. But this really takes the cake.

While it is a great idea, we think it can be further refined. The loud noise can be quite a turn-off. And the fast moving propellers seems kinda dangerous during landing.
